Hap Aziz, EdD, joined ABS Kids in 2023 and brings over 30 years of experience working in the professional development, higher education, and adult learning space. At ABS Kids, Dr. Aziz ensures that the on-boarding experience and ongoing learning and professional development opportunities result in the best possible service and experience for our clients and their families.
Dr. Aziz began his career in computer software development, authoring the best-selling Ami-Back software for the Amiga computer. In the early 1990s, he set up one of the first Internet Service Providers in the Orlando area and followed that up by developing computer games and entertainment software. For the next two decades, Dr. Aziz worked in higher education, developing a number of academic programs in areas such as healthcare, business, and technology and design. Just prior to joining ABS Kids, Dr. Aziz directed the learning efforts at one of the largest private healthcare providers in the United States. An expert in learning and technology, he has presented at conferences, published articles, and has appeared on television to discuss tech topics of the day.
After obtaining his B.A. degree in Computer Science from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, Dr. Aziz went on to earn his M.Ed. in Instructional Technology and Distance Education from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida, followed by his Doctorate in Education in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He currently lives in between beaches and theme parks, just outside of Orlando, Florida.
