A Faster Way to Understand Your Child’s Development

At ABS Kids, we offer quick video-based developmental assessments designed to help families better understand their child’s development.

During this 12-minute activity, your child watches engaging video scenes while EarliPoint Health’s advanced, FDA-cleared eye-tracking technology measures how they respond to social and visual information.

The results help our clinical team understand patterns in how your child pays attention, learns, and engages with the world around them, and what the next steps may be.

With 99.5% accuracy, this technology provides powerful insights that can help you move forward with greater clarity.

The video assessment is an FDA-authorized eye-tracking assessment technology that measures how young children visually respond to stimuli. This tool helps clinicians identify patterns related to early development and core characteristics of autism that may be present.

During the assessment:

  • Your child watches short video scenes on a screen for 12 minutes
  • Eye-tracking technology measures where they naturally look

The results are 99.5% accurate and help you understand your child’s patterns of social attention and development

Frequently Asked Questions

EarliPoint is an FDA-authorized diagnostic aid designed to accelerate early and efficient diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children ages 16 months to seven years old. It is NOT a diagnosis, but a tool that can help indicate the likelihood of autism in your child.

It is completely normal for children to move around or look away at times. EarliPoint Health® technology is designed to account for natural movement and shifts in attention.

Yes, the EarliPoint Health assessment is designed to be safe & child friendly. At ABS Kids, we take the time to help each child feel comfortable and settle in before beginning.

The assessment is non-invasive. Your child will sit in front of the module screen to watch a series of short videos, almost like watching TV at home. Your child’s comfort is always a priority.

The eye-tracking video component of the assessment lasts only 12 minutes. The overall appointment lasts around 30 minutes to allow time to ensure your child is comfortable and that the assessment is set up properly before beginning.

EarliPoint uses eye-tracking technology that detects the patient’s eye movements to collect 120 data points per second, capturing how your child looks at and processes social scenes. This data builds an “attention funnel,” showing where and when the child looks compared to age-expected patterns.

The results indicate whether behavior is consistent or not consistent with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

An autism diagnosis expands access to important resources often covered by insurance, like ABA therapy. The earlier a child receives support, the better their chances for long-term success in many areas, such as communication, social interaction, and independence.

Early signs of autism include limited interest in interactive games such as Peek-A-Boo, limited pretend play, minimal babbling or verbal communication, and sensitivity to noises and textures. For more information about the early signs of autism, visit our Early Signs of Autism resource.
