GREENVILLE, S.C.; March 20, 2025 (Business Wire) – ABS Kids, a leading provider of applied behavioral analysis (ABA) therapy services to children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), announces the opening of its first therapy centers in Greenville, South Carolina. The opening of these centers follows the company’s initial expansion into the state in 2024, cementing its mission to expand access to ABA therapy and diagnostic services in the region.

The 7,300-square-foot, state-of-the-art therapy center, located at 135 Halton Village Circle, opened to new patients in February. It is equipped with small and large classrooms for individual or group learning, a gym, lunchrooms and sensory-friendly rooms that will provide opportunities for children to meet others, participate in group activities and grow skills under the supervision of a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA).

ABS Kids will also open a second, 15,000-square-foot center located at 120 Broadus Ave., Suite 100, later this month.

“The opening of the first Greenville centers marks a significant step in expanding access to essential autism resources for families in our community,” Lauren McCarthy, regional director of clinical operations in South Carolina, said. “By providing tailored support and therapy options

in a nurturing environment, we can empower children to embrace their unique strengths, allowing them to learn, grow and thrive from a young age.”

ABA therapy, the primary medically necessary treatment for ASD, improves communication, independence and social skills when started with young children. ABS Kids provides personalized diagnostic services and care at its therapy centers, through community integrations, or at home, focusing on language, cooperation, hygiene, personal safety, motor skills and social connections. Therapists use tablets to collect and track each child’s daily therapy progress, ensuring consistent monitoring and data-driven adjustments for optimal care.

“We are delighted to continue expanding access to high-quality, research-based care across South Carolina, ensuring that every child has the support and resources they deserve in the Palmetto State,” Jeff Skibitsky, founder and president of ABS Kids, said. “As we anticipate opening even more centers in 2025, we look forward to building on our strong foundation and impacting lives across the region.“

In addition to its Greenville centers this year, ABS Kids will also open an additional center in Fort Mill and Rock Hill, as well as two new centers in Columbia, supporting families with resources from our 10 locations across the state.
